Five years ago, I entered the world of figure skating. With two of three girls registered, my life and the arena became one. When the time came to purchase that first special dress for a competition, my first thought was "Well, there's certainly not much to them. They can't be hard to make". But with a deadline fast approaching and fear that my daughters would not have an outfit, I went shopping. I looked online and in stores. We scoured the world trying to find the perfect dress. For the cost, I couldn't find one that I thought was absolutely stunning. It was always, "I like this top, and that bottom. Or, the color from that one mixed with the style of that". 

My eldest daughter finally found a beautiful white dress from an auction site and when it arrived, it was amazing and she was so excited to try it on. As it wasn't made just for her and she isn't a typical (what is that anyway?) size, it fit poorly. It just was not what we had expected. She was a little disappointed but loved it anyway. I, on the other hand, thought, "I paid a lot of money. It seems a waste when it doesn't fit properly".

So, I did what I thought would fix the problem. I plugged in the 'ol sewing machine and I haven't looked back. Years later now, I have worked on many projects. From skating competition dresses, practice dresses, skirts, pants, boys wear, soft guards, gymnastics leotards, dance dresses, carnival themes and team wear for competitions. I bring in the highest quality fabrics and notions and will stop at nothing to find the what my client is looking to achieve.
